At the Tuesday, September 21, 2021 meeting of the Bergenfield Mayor & Council, the borough honored The Food Brigade for its work on behalf of Bergenfield's residents in need. With a proclamation in recognition of Hunger Action Month, the Mayor & Council presented The Food Brigade with a plaque "in grateful appreciation for your outstanding dedication and service to the Bergenfield Food Pantry and to our community."

Since the summer of 2020, The Food Brigade has been a supplier of food for a number of municipal food pantries, including Bergenfield, Dumont, and Elmwood Park.
